<![CDATA[This is one of those hidden gems in Portland. I lived in the Grant Park neighborhood for years before I finally got over my strip-mall snobbery and checked out My Canh based on a friend's recommendation. Now, I order from My Canh all the time. The family that runs the restaurant are extremely nice--and as said in a previous review--they take much pride in their food and service. I love the soups and the vermicelli bowls the best. I concur that My Canh place should be ranked at the top in terms of Portland Vietnamese food.

<![CDATA[I haven't eaten there yet, but my girlfriend loves to yell the name in a Phaux (Pho?) asian accent every time we pass by. If it's even half as good as she is brilliant then it's gotta be the best Viatnamese place in town.

<![CDATA[A family run restaurant that takes a lot of pride in everything on the menu.
The bun is outstanding, and the pho is hot, flavorful and available in several varieties.
The tea arrives moments after you take your seat, and it's complimentary.
They have beer from Vietnam, Thailand and Japan, as well as America.
I've tried multiple Viet places in town, and My Cahn is a notable stand out.

<![CDATA[My Cahn is almost never crowded and the food is pretty much always good with a ton of vegetarian options. Both of the soups offered with the lunch special are also veggie which is awesome since a lot of places they are not and of course they don't bother to tell you even though you just ordered a vegetarian meal. I've tried a number of menu items and they've all been pretty good. The menu could be a little clearer about how something is prepared though. I accidentally ordered the wrong thing recently. It was okay though 'cause I really liked it.
