Not surprising, not in the least. Just depressing. That commissioners Fish, Saltzman, & Leonard couldn't make time for people that pay their salaries & who've taken valuable time out of [their own] day just to head to city hall & voice their concern. The whole thing STINKS though, & thankfully, alot of people in town are on to the FBI's scheme. People know that had Tom Potter capitulated & had Portland join the JTTF 5 years ago, like most other cities, that so-called "plot" at Pioneer Square would NEVER have happened. Folks know that the FBI cooked this whole thing up, that's why there was such a presence at city hall on the 13th. If Adams caves in to the PBA & enters Portland into the JTTF next month, i hope it'll cost him a 2nd term!

They have a word for this type of thing now. It's called a 'nonsultation' and the Portland city government has made an art out of it. It's 'a specious public consultation on decisions that have already been made.' and
'a cynical technique used by governments, local authorities and some businesses to provide spurious legitimacy or fake PR cover for a pre-determined decision.'

See: http://schott.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/08/25…
