<![CDATA[I came here with a Bosnian friend one time, because she is an absolutely horrid motorist and I feared for my life so much I said to her, "Here, let's stop and eat here" and so we did. I enjoyed the libations; the beer was dark and dense, very unlike the main dining room. I have no idea what it was that I ate, nor if it was tasty. But why do I care what I eat at a brewhouse? I'm there to drink. Also, I failed to notice the plethora of squalling brats plaguing other reviewers.

<![CDATA[First I'd like to begin by reminiscing about how good they were when they first opened several years ago. The service was friendly and most of them appeared to be living beings. Today they are the undead. They are zombies dug up from the cemetery located just adjacent to the sucky old Alameda Brewhouse. You can see it in their beady little eyes, which are vacant as the tombs from which they have been exhumed. Okay, some of them are not undead. Those ones are stoned. Undead, stoned, what's the diff? I realize I am no longer reminiscing. I do not care. If you were to go to the Alameda Brewhouse right now, I can guarantee that it will take the undead/stoned server twenty minutes to greet you at your table. After that she/he/it will fail to bring you the water you begged for, and you will die of dehydration. While your cells are lysing, you will witness your server staring off into space near the bar, or drawing pentagrams in the dust near the water station.

<![CDATA[If you go here between 5:30-7:30 this place is nothing but screaming children. I have checked out their happy hours a few time and found great deals on food and always had a good pint and some munchies for <$7.

<![CDATA[Once I ditch the single life of good food, friends and booze, this is where I will surely end up. Another zombie parent with bratty kids, desperately trying to have a beer and a burger in a "family friendly" environment. I can't recommend Alameda Café to non-breeders, but if you are fertile, and need to have a pint while watching your kids cry and eat fries, then this is your place, sucker.
