Had a horrible experience at Junior's. After a great deal of drama trying to split the bill between two credit cards, being told rudely that there was a 50 cent charge per card, the e cards were then charged wrong - with little apology.

When we were done getting payment settled and waked out of the restaurant, the waitress charged after us screaming that we hadn't tipped enough!

It was my fault, I hadn't meant to snub her, but with all the receipts flying around I had done my math wrong and only tipped $2 when I should have tipped $6.

But is that a big enough error to come out of the restaurant screaming at me in front of everyone I had been eating with and everyone who was waiting for a seat?

I was so shocked I upped the tip and didn't say anything else - but I was very embarrassed and the more I think about it, the more appalled I am by her behavior.

The service was hardly good enough to raise that kind of fit over $4 and if she did want to check with me and see if we had been unhappy with the service she should have quietly pulled me aside, not made a huge scene.

I won't be going back to this restaurant.

Juniors USED to be great. I heard rumors that they changed hands or got a new cook or both? In any case, the spuds are pretty bland. I almost always get the ched/bac/scallions dish, and the spuds formerly had a spiciness on their own. The spicy tofu sauce still rocks.

It doesn't suck; just not as good. I don't go outta my way to go there or brings out of town guests.

I went in once before but the wait was long and no one said anything so we bailed. I gave it another shot Sunday morning and I was treated exceptionally well. They even sat me in a booth all by my lonesome on a busy morning instead of sticking me at the counter (which I would've been fine with). The service was fantastic, the food was good for eggs, bacon, taters and toast. Coffee was good too and they keep a carafe of cold water on the tables which is perfect when you have a teensy hangover;) All in all it was a really nice breakfast experience. I will go again if ever hung over in the neighborhood and up early enough to beat the crowd lol.
P.S. Extra brownie points for playing Bowie and the Beatles instead of indie crap no one has ever heard of but will pretend is good because they want to be esoteric hipsters.

This place is awesome. Veg friendly but plenty for everyone. Good creative food, filling portions if your hungry. This place is great super close to my house so I'll be coming here often. But even if juniors was far away I make that trip.
Also, I don't have kids but this place seemed more kid friendly than a lot of breakfast joints. They had high chairs and a kids menu.

Remember they are cash only and bring lots, you'll want to try everything on the menu. Amazing french toast, but you have to get the vegan potatoes, they are insanely good. It's like they reinvented breakfast potatoes.

I usually enjoy Juniors when I don't have to wait too long to get in. Sometimes the staff seem like maybe they should bathe a little more often but I'm not going to complain much unless I find something weird in my food which I'm happy to say has never happened. It's always been quite tasty.
