<![CDATA[I spent two hours there on three courses and four glasses for myself and my date.
Service from the attractive staff was attentive but not intrusive. Advice was always forthcoming when asked for.
Two glasses of pinot noir went well with an excellent cheese plate that we started with. The cheeses (four of them) offered a good range of flavors and were served with perfectly textured bread.
My braised pork on beans in what seemed like a veal stock reduction was so tender I didn't need a knife and the balance of fat, protein, and starch provided a rich and filling plate. Her artichoke and leek soup was one of the best soups I've had. I was expecting a cream base and was pleasantly surprised to find it didn't have one. I'm guessing veg stock, olive oil, and then roasted baby artichokes plus sautéed leeks then pureed, with herbs. At least that how I'd start trying to reproduce it before I went back for a second bowl.

The only thing that didn't blow me away was the brownie with vanilla ice cream. The size of the plate was more than adequate to split between two people, especially after the two previous courses, but I would have preferred something smaller and dripping from the inside with chocolate.
I will be back, probably many times, though I might save the dessert course for somewhere else.

<![CDATA[The food is excellent, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and I had a great time taking a gamble on Noble Rot. The atmosphere is a lot of fun with a wine bar up front and a more secluded dining room in back. This is a place for a special occasion or date where the tab is not a large consideration. Expect to share multiple delicious "small plate" items to compose a meal. Expect excellent food, wine, and a fun setting but dont expect a "value meal." Highly recommended for business travelers on expense accounts or those who would like to splurge on a night out with class.

<![CDATA[These folks are okay in the kitchen, but to actually make a meal of out what they plate you'll end up spending a helluva lot more than you'd expect. Been a few times, and while the food is pretty good, the only thing that will blow you away is the tab they deliver at the end of your meal. Plus, the help seems to alternate between nice sometimes and snobby other times. Not much value here; I won't be returning.

<![CDATA[I thought I was ordering dinner when I got the $20 salmon, but what arrived wasn't much bigger than a postage stamp. With a bottle of indifferent wine, my girlfriend and I walked away having paid $80 ... feeling ripped off and hungry enough that we had to go eat somewhere else. Your mileage may vary, but FYI, the Bonfire ([no longer -ed.] two blocks south) offers a much better salmon entree, for less than half the price ... and for wine and hors d’oeuvres, Navarre (two blocks north) is a better choice.

<![CDATA[Where's my dinner? I paid $12 for a tiny (although delicious) hors d'oeuvre. I suppose if small plates are hip then more power to them, but I'm still hungry!
