I agree with FC: take your friends and loved ones to dinner/brunch/movie/whatever. If they truly need something, they would already own it. Holidays are just when we bombard each other with all the crap we only kinda want. I'm all in favor of thoughtful gifts when the occasion is right, but "just because it's December again" isn't one of them for me.

If anyone's buying for me though, I'll take that iphone alarm clock thing. And also an iphone.
