i have more respect for someone with a face/neck tatoo they don't try to hide all the time, than for someone who whips it out for select company to show off. I mean shit, if you're so interested in displaying your art, why not display it all the time? That's the irony of the tattoo, to me-- they used to be used to signify, now they're just part of hidden vanity.

wowsers. I'd say the the person who has the better work ethic is the one who has the better work ethic. tattoos don't mean shit in that equation. really. it's like saying christians have higher moral fiber than non-christians. personal experience tells me that neither of these assumptions hold even the slightest amount of water.

but it is clear that you're a complete bell-end for even asking the question. so kudos for that.

I have also met people with neck tattoo's that were douches...I think it had little to do with the tattoo. Additionally, I doubt people with neck tattoo's are trying to become stockbrokers. Just a theory

I hate tattoos. No secret. However, imploring Portlanders to not get a face/neck tattoo under the pretense of trying to "entice businesses to relocate here" -- are you fuckin' serious?? Portland is cool because people are weird. I live in Seattle where there's plenty of corporate businesses and corporate jobs (I have one -- that's why I live here). I would MUCH MUCH rather live in Portland, but not if it became more like Seattle......as those bumper stickers say: "Keep Portland Weird".

They were too busy supporting their families and paying their bills to pay for a kanji tattoo that said "white asshole."
