<![CDATA[This was a great night. Portland's Live Wire gets fancy by taking over the stage at The Portland Art Museum. The talent on the bill made for an entertaining evening. Author Anne Lamott was amazing, funny, and insightful. Todd Haynes was smart, charming, and handsome chatting it up about his new HBO mini series, Mildred Pierce. The bands were fun, especially memorable was the new electronica incarnation of Portland's uber talented Sophe Lux, fronted by the film director Haynes' little sister. Holcombe Waller took to the stage with two songs, charming the audience with his tender ballads. An exciting night for Live Wire. We hope they make it to syndication. They deserve this honor.

<![CDATA[There were 8 acts and 5 of them were aerial. There were 2 dance routines. And Every single act was AMAZING. But you are right, life and art are completely trite themes.

<![CDATA["High Art" was a very immaturely conceived and delivered show. Having never seen Pendulum perform before, I was disappointed that there was very little aerial work (which I assume would be their strength) and too much interpretative dance loosely built around trite themes. I would encourage the museum director to attend a performance in order to assess the wisdom of associating Pendulum's name with that of the museum in the future.
