I've tried being civil about it, maybe I'm just unlucky and end up attracting psycho women but no woman has ever taken well to me saying that I'm not feeling it anymore. It crushes them. No woman has been cool with it like "oh no that's totally fine, alright well it was great hanging out. bye!" If it was that easy, EVERY guy would just get it over with. You think we like the endless streams-of-conscious texting? Waking up to 38 new texts? You think we like when you wait outside my building (or use the intercom to call random people and say you're FedEx) to sneak in and then sit outside my door for 30 minutes texting "I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE"? Seriously, bitches are crazy as fuck and nobody talks about it or everyone pretends it's just misogyny. Psycho cunts have killed chivalry and now they're killing civilized break ups. No regrets, now accept your /ignore like a grown ass woman.

You can easily make the argument that schools are under-funded on a variety of topics, and I think people would understand this (except for the PERS perks, etc) But this tax costs one heck of a lot more than other taxes just to collect and distribute. A lot of silly overhead. This was a foolish idea to begin with. And aren't we second-guessing how the school board allocates its' funds too?

Agreed. That's pretty much what i meant, despite the way i started off my statement -- that we should treat them all equally, as they are all basically the same. And it appears that i offended a few characters in doing so...Sorry that i'm not sorry, folks.

Oh man, I've done this to plenty of women in this town. Don't take offense or let it bruise your ego.. I've tried telling women the truth, that "hey, it's been fun hanging out and I wasn't sure where this was going at first but the more we hang out the more I realize I just kinda like you as a friend and I hope that's cool" or the more straight to the point "I'm just not really feeling it anymore, sorry" and it always backfires, suddenly I'm the piece of shit who was leading her on (for what?), that she's going to tell everyone what an asshole prick I am, that she wasn't into me like that either, or "omg you're not in love with me are you?!" turnaround, or that the guy is creepy, etc, etc. Women pull out their rolodex of rejection and throw everything and the kitchen sink at the guy who had the audacity not to be rapey.

Women can't handle the notion that not every guy wants to fuck them.

I am still of the opinion that 'Artists Against Apartheid", etc etc - and all the political pressure afterwords that brought down that awful system of government, could be directly attributed to Peter Gabriels 'Biko' song.
To me this is the measure of what an artist can accomplish with music in much the same way that the documentary film 'The Thin Blue Line' saved another mans life from the Death Chamber.

Favorite Portland band, both in concert and on albums! Playful, smart, and Portland-to-the-core. Their songs will worm their way into your brain. After months of listening to their album in your car CD player, you will realize that it's stuck, and your attempts to switch to a different Keep Your Fork There's Pie album will be thwarted. Your friends will stage an intervention, to force you to listen to other music. Your husband will say, "I like their music, but if you keep playing it all the time, I'm going to get sick of it eventually." So, you switch to AgesandAges for bit. But now, with a new album coming out, you can feed your habit anew!

I also grew up with fluoridated water, Gza1340, and it did nothing for me. So did my partner. Same. Her son grew up in Portland and has NO cavities! He's an adult now. Your argument doesn't hold water. Speaking of, water isn't the problem. Don't dump more chemicals into it. The problem is that poor kids eat and drink shit (candy and Coke) because it's cheap and they are misinformed about healthy foods. They also don't receive good dental hygiene education or service. Those things need to change. Clean water did not give them cavities (didn't give me mine!) and they are not likely to drink as much water as soda (hello obesity/diabetes problem?). And fluoridated water did not prevent my cavities. So your logic is bullshit. Go back to where you came from and get all the fluoride you want. Put it in your water, on your toast, whatever. But don't put it in mine. And fuck right off.

It's too bad that Portland State University, with all of it's doctors can't figure out a way to enable Portland to survive an EMP or a 9.2, but then again, it is located right on top of the West Hills Fault. Not only do they not Earth quake proof the buildings, or move, they keep condemning more buildings to occupy downtown, thus removing even more property from the tax roles as the school increases the amount of it's need for tax revenues.

^^Disagree on the pizza but I witnessed what you described a few days ago and it was very funny. Said "hipsters" debated amongst themselves what he meant. Bonus laugh : the guy who said this (more or less) ...big frame glasses, "ironic" (or stupid ) facial hair and a sweater that bore an uncanny resemblance to waldo. For real. DO I have video? Of course not, which is why I will always be a poor nobody. Sigh

Medicaid (Oregon Health Plan) exists to provide free medical coverage for every Oregon child whose family's income is under 201% of the federal poverty level. With this program you can visit a dentist and get fluoride treatments all you want without it costing you anything more than signing up for the program for your children.

All poor children in Oregon already have the option to get this treatment if they want it. The money spent on this campaign and that would have been spent on fluoridating the water should instead be spent on educating those with the OHP benefits that these options are still available for their children IF THEY CHOOSE TO USE THEM. Don't forget choice, people.
