      <![CDATA[Hales is right!  The prior administration did not pay attention to maintenance, and I can say because maintenance doesn't get votes!  And what's more, the Portland Mercury can quit holding up the previous mayor's picture with one hand and realize the obvious:  It was the new, expensive and flashy programs that got Scam Adams popular so he went after them and avoided the maintenance issues, and so it was with the bicycling.  Remember when Scammy described the bike infrastructure in Portland as antiquated?  Portland was voted as one of the most bike-friendly cities in the country, and often the friendliest, long before Scam was mayor.  Now even the bicyclist can't get through potholes.  Portland Mercury, quit being so skeptical of Hales and write like you care about the city, not the Scam!
