Finally, the folks from the Canby Asparagus Farm—who bring those awesome tamale carts to farmers markets around the area—have opened a restaurant space. Now you can get those little stuffed masa treats every day of the week, if you live in Milwaukie or are willing to drive there. The breadth of variety offered at Casa de Tamales is unparalleled. Fourteen types of meat tamales, including chicken, beef, pork and seafood, and sixteen types of vegetarian (five of them vegan), and even sweet tamales, are all abundantly available. They have some other dishes, such as; tacos, quesadillas, and breaded & fried onion rings, asparagus, etc. but they ain't tamales!
