"Cosi fan tutte roughtly translates to All Women Are Like That." Romantic comedy genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart arranged this opera in which two brothers bet that their new wives won't cheat. To test the devotion of their spouses, they each try to lure the other's wife to infidelity (while in costume, of course). Why this hasn't been adapted into a Meg Ryan mush vehicle can only mystify us, but this full-tilt Portland Opera production will certainly put that hypothetical rom-com to shame.
