I know this is a Staff Pick from the Mercury, but from the description it's hard to get an idea of this band. Can anyone give me the run down on Whalebones. I generally enjoy stoner-rockers....

Hyenas will also be opening for Romanteek, and a long awaited video peformance by drummer Ben Blankenship will be projected while Hyenas play. Its going to be a good one.

Dunes is awesome!, portland's finest small and intimate secret discotech and venue, it's one of the few places that books shows for ANY kind of band...the staff is super nice too!
