Critic's note: This occasional entry is about stuff that I eat or drink that you should eat or drink, too. It may be about items that are locally made, or they may not be, but you'll be able to find them in town. And you should.

FEAST IS GONE until next year. But one of the best bites is here to stay "indefinitely," according to staff at downtown's Imperial restaurant. Lines snaked across a ballroom for a taste of Vitaly Paley's fried chicken with honey and a spicy watermelon salad. I don't like most fried chicken with honey, but this moist bird had just a bee's wing flutter of sweet. It paired perfectly with the cool watermelon and hot flavors. It's $13 and available on the lunch menu, until it's not. Go get it.
