St. Honoré's Second Annual Summer Bike Drive, 2335 NW Thurman, 445-4342, Sat-Sun July 1-2, 9 am-4 pm

It should come as no surprise that St. Honoré, NW Portland's delicious French bakery, will be showing the Tour de France on their big-screen TV. A lesser-known fact, though, is that St. Honoré has an affiliated women's cycling team—and that the team will be holding a bike drive to celebrate the commencement of the Tour. Donated bikes will go to the Community Cycling Center—and if you donate a bike, they'll give you a French pastry. Yum! AH

Salute! Dinner Series at Fratelli, Fratelli, 1230 NW Hoyt, 241-8800, Wed July 5

Fratelli chef Paul Klitsie knows that behind every crisp organic salad or succulent free-range hen, there's an unseen network of hardworking farmers and producers. With the Salute! dinner series, Fratelli recognizes the efforts of these folks, by inviting farmers as celebrity guests, and concocting a menu that highlights the fruits of their labor. The series kicks off with John Neumister from Cattail Creek Farm, and continues every Wednesday in July with a different guest farmer. AH
