Balls for BRO and a Taco Ride

Who knew that putting balls in your mouth could be so helpful for so many people? From now until the culmination of Pride weekend on Sunday, June 14, Mother's Bistro and Bar (212 SW Stark) and Mama Mia Trattoria (439 SW 2nd) will be donating 10 percent of proceeds from all "ball"-related dishes to queer advocacy organization Basic Rights Oregon. So go ahead, get that matzo ball soup and spaghetti and meatballs all over your face... for a good cause.

Monday, June 15, at 6 pm will see the start of one of the tastiest rides of this year's Pedalpalooza: The Umpteenth Annual Taco Ride will blaze a two-wheeled trail through Portland's taco community, beginning at Olé Olé (2137 E Burnside). At each stop tacos will be ordered in bulk, so bring your cash and forget the burritos. But for the love of god, do not eat and ride. The "peloton pincer" does not work with tacos.
