George Wright, author of Oregon trilogy Baker City 1948, Tillamook 1952, and Roseburg 1969, reads from his latest novel Driving to Vernonia. Edmund Kirby-Smith loses everything just prior to his fiftieth birthday. It forces him to reconnect with his intangible goods—past, memories, relationships—and if that doesn't work, there's always reverential prayer.
