Sure, Holman's is smoky and greasy, but that comes with the diner/bar territory. Besides, in agreeable weather, you can escape via the sizable back-patio. Try a powdered-sugar-dusted Monte Cristo or a Reuben piled high with corned beef if you're a meat head, or a veggie Reuben or veggie omelet if you're not. Also recommended is the chili burger, which is a ton of sloppy food and tastes best if you're tripping on mushrooms -not that I would know anything about that. Holman's is only open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays, so remember to save your all-night booze, food, and cigarette benders for the weekends.

The Donna burger is a killer gutbomb. Breakfasts are greasy but tasty. It's kind of what you expect - just good old diner food. Nothing fancy. Sometimes it can be BAD. Sometimes it can surprise. It's Holman's. And you love it.
I expected greasy and heavy, but I got even more than I bargained for. This food is not for the weak-stomached.
Holman's works for any occasion! I think my favorite time to go there really late to order some fried macaroni and cheese bites, my final PBR of the evening, and chainsmoke. That is a perfect night-cap. In the morning, breakfast food can be inconsistent in quality, but it is often greasy and tasty, and they know how to cook their potatoes. My biggest complaint (which is major in my book) is regarding their famous bloody mary bar. I'm sorry, but I do not want the responsibility of making myself a bloody mary when I'm hungover. That's why I am ordering one at a bar. Your job is to make it taste good. To add insult to injury, the glasses are too small. A small glass of vodka on ice does not a bloody mary make. Still, I can't not love this place.
I LOVE Holmans. If you are wanting to escape a "see and be seen" atmosphere, this is the place to do it. Come here for good eats and good strong drinks. The bartenders are friendly and insanely attractive, and the wait staff is even better. I like the blondie with the pigtails.
the sweet potatoe fries are amazing and with ranch dressing are even more amazing. sounds totally wierd, iknow. prepare to leave feeling so obese and happy... as i was when I left. I love the fact that waitstaff are really nice and that they are open so late. I don't love the smoke.
