What was it Thomas Edison said? Success is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration? If that's the case, Mary Bennett's installation is right on track. A set of index cards Bennett found in a San Francisco dump display one (anonymous) poet's efforts to get published. Of the poet's near 2000 submissions, only 3 were accepted, leaving us to ponder the dubious value structures and measurements of success within the creative arts.
