In his early career, Paul Mooney literally ran away with the circus, dubbing himself the “first black ringmaster” ever. Since then, Mooney has proven to be a commanding force in comedy, accruing an incredible 40-year string of writing and acting creds, including early SNL, Good Times, Richard Pryor, In Living Color, and Spike Lee's Bamboozled. His segment “Ask a Black Dude” on Chappelle's Show is his most recent and memorable TV incarnation, but tonight he appears in PDX to put you on your toes. Read our interview with Mooney here.
