Portland Taiko, the Asian American drum ensemble, presents their family show Ponta and the Big Drum, which tells a moralist tale about Ponta, a trickster archetype from Japanese folk tales, who gets in the way of a town's taiko performance. Characters wear masks made by Native American artist Rick Bartow. Donations will be accepted for Mercy Corps's Japan relief efforts.
