THE HO-HUM DAYS of January have come and gone, so we can finally welcome a much more exciting February, which is full of much-missed fashion shows and shopping events. Get out your calendar because everything that follows is worthy of your time.

The first of many Valentine's Day-themed events, Keep Portland Sexy is launching their new brand and website by hosting a pop-up shop and social. Vendors include She Bop, All Bad Days, Melamosey, Seagrape Bath and Body, the Bitter Housewife, Under the Root, Xocolatl de David, and Clone-A-Willy (yes, it's exactly what you think). Admission is free, and so is food, wine, and beer catered by Clyde Common.
Cleaners at the Ace Hotel, 403 SW 10th, Thurs Feb 4, 5-9 pm, 21+

West End Select Shop is hosting Tannerann, a local vintage collector, for a 10-day pop-up shop. When you hear vintage, you probably think of clothing from the '70s and earlier, but that's not what Tannerann does. They focus on vintage from the '80s and '90s in all of its minimalist, androgynous glory—which is perfectly aligned with West End Select Shop's aesthetic. To kick things off they'll have a party on Thursday, February 4, from 5-8 pm complete with wine, treats, and 10 percent off sale items in the store.
West End Select Shop, 927 SW Oak, Thurs Feb 4-Sun Feb 14

Valentine's Day Event #2: Boardroom to Bedroom: A Celebration of Suits & Lingerie will feature one male and several female models casually displaying looks from Jane's Vanity's loungewear collection, as well as Wildwood & Company custom suits as worn by owner Joe Mueller and past clients. Mint & Mirth will serve a custom cocktail specifically designed for the event along with beer and champagne.
Wildwood & Company, 529 SW 3rd, Fri Feb 5, 5-8 pm

Valentine's Day Event #3 and Fashion Show #1: The fifth annual Unmentionable: A Lingerie Exposition is officially kicking off the 2016 fashion show season. This event will feature lingerie collections from local and national independently owned brands Altar Houseline, Chubby Cartwheels, Katastrophic (from Austin), Lille Boutique, Piper Dalton, Smith River, VAVA Lingerie, WhiskeyDog Wares (from Mars Hill, North Carolina), and Sock It to Me, who are debuting their brand-new line of underwear with matching socks. Buy something for that special someone or yourself from vendors Missionary Chocolates, DartHeart Jewelry, Altar, Sock It to Me, Bramble Floral, and Time Warrior Valentines. (Full disclosure: I co-produce this event.)
Doug Fir, 830 E Burnside, Tues Feb 9, 8 pm, $12-15, 21+

For those of you who missed the other three Valentine's Day events, or just have a bunch of money to spend, there's Covet. This event features lingerie from VAVA Lingerie, Rogue: Minx, and Smith River; jewelry by High Society Collection, Bohemian Salt, Gem & Point, and Seaworthy; bath and body products by Seagrape, Sweet Tea Apothecary, Brown Bear Herbs, and Happy Handmade; and flowers by Bloem.
The Cleaners at the Ace Hotel, 403 SW 10th, Fri Feb 12, 3-10 pm

Crary Boots, a local family-owned and operated footwear manufacturing company that pride themselves on bringing manufacturing jobs back to Portland, are having a big party to launch their first collection of boots. Guests will enjoy free tacos from Koi Fusion, cocktails made with Tito's vodka, tea from Tea Bar, and beer from Widmer. They'll also have samples of their full collection for guests to view and try on.
Castaway, 1900 NW 18th, Fri Feb 12, 7 pm

Fashion Show #2: Fade to Light: A Multidimensional Fashion Event is a semi-annual fashion show that lets designers off the leash with their runway presentations, and in the past has featured live music, dance performances, and myriad videos ranging from lookbook style to "What the hell did I just watch?" This installment features new collections from Altar, Laurs Kemp, Rogue: Minx, Stephanie D. Couture, Tiffany Bean, Wendy Ohlendorf, West Daily, and Ms. Wood, triumphantly returning to the Portland fashion scene after three years. (Full disclosure: I produce this event.)
Crystal Ballroom, 1332 W Burnside, Wed Feb 24, 8 pm, $10-55, all ages
