Story and Song: A Benefit for Bradley Rosen

When: Fri., Feb. 19, 7 p.m. 2010
thebluemonk.com
After rushing to the hospital on New Year's Even for a near-fatal Staph infection, Brad Rosen is doing OK. That is, he's not dead, but he can't do his carpentry job, so his peers at Tom Spanbauer's Dangerous Writing workshop are banding together for this medical bill-tackling show. Spanbauer, author of the Pulitzer-nominated The Man Who Fell in Love With the Moon, is joined by Cheryl Strayed (Torch); Monica Drake (Clown Girl); Emily Chenoweth (Hello, Goodbye); Margaret Malone (2009 Oregon Literary Fellowship recipient for fiction); and music from Closeyures, Highwater, and Nicole Berke.
