Imago's Artistic Co-director Jerry Mouawad, of No Exit fame, keeps it weird in his Opera Beyond Words series. As in the recent Cuban Missile Tango, the story unfolds through physical language, music, and tapping (previously of the feet, this time of the keyboard)—no speaking. Five men and four women find themselves under the thumb of a tyrannical typing instructor in an abstract otherworld. It's out there to be sure, but it's also one of two free Imago productions this season, so you have nothing to lose but your mind.
