The city council—plus Commissioner-elect Amanda Fritz—bantered a bit before this morning's work session on the Portland Plan got going.

Mayor-elect Sam Adams noted that Commissioner Randy Leonard's press event yesterday about the new public restroom had more press in attendance than at any event Adams has seen in his 18 years around city hall. "I had to push my way through the crowd to get in front of the cameras," Adams said.

"But you did it anyway," Fritz quipped.

They all laughed. Mayor Tom Potter noted that Fritz will "fit right in."

UPDATE: More potty humor: Leonard's cell phone started ringing during the work session, and he couldn't get it to stop (and what a pretty ringtone he has).

"Someone's trapped in your bathroom?" Adams asked. Laughs all around.
