The Portland Timbers return to PGE Park tonight against the Carolina Railhawks after an eight day break following their energetic and surprising win over Boca Juniors. While the win against Boca was excellent for team and fan morale, Portland needs to get back on track in league play.

The Railhawks are on a two game winning streak and sit in second place in the USSF 2nd Division NASL conference. After the long break, the Timbers are currently in fourth, 12 points off Austin at the top whom they face Wednesday night in Texas. With head coach Gavin Wilkinson now having been back for a while after his globe trotting scouting trips, it will be interesting to see if he's able to provide some stability in getting the team back on the level. Against Boca, 'Lil Alex Nimo played very solid, Bright Dike was strong, and Rodrigo Lopez was the literal game changer with a free kick game tying assist and free kick game winning goal. Will they all feature in the starting eleven tonight?

Another fun bit for the little ones in town: Kids twelve and under eat free at PGE Park right up to kick-off. Plus the first 2,000 fans through the gate get a special Timbers fleece blanket. Given today's rain—June, WTF?!—those blankets will be at a premium.

Tickets are here and at the PGE Park box office. The match will be televised on FSN with live radio broadcast at on 95.5 The Game and Spanish-language at 910AM+1390AM ESPN Deportes. Live video webcast here.
