You know what's not making us very fat? Candy. You know what is? Candy disguised as food.

Grist and the New York Times have an interesting breakdown today of where Americans get their sugar. The average American gets only six percent of their sugar from candy, but 46 percent from sugary drinks like soda and fruit juice. While parents, etc, steer clear of candy, liquids with tons of sugar, like juice and mochas, have a "health halo" around them. Really, it's the Frappucinos and Rockstars of the world that are making us fat.
