So everyone's all blah, blah, blah, oh no, oh no about the news that Joss Whedon won't be writing the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. This lady will be doing it:

Not Joss.
  • Sam Comen
  • Not Joss.

Her name is Whit Anderson. But who is she, you scream?! Some actress who grew up watching Buffy. But what has she written, you scream! Nothing—stop screaming—I told you, she's just some actress who loves Buffy. I do not envy the poor girl... following in the Joss Steps™. Joss is not sounding stoked about the whole endeavor. In a nutshell (and if you hate clicking links), he had this to say:

My first reaction upon hearing who was writing it was, "Whit Stillman AND Wes Anderson? This is gonna be the most sardonically adorable movie EVER." Apparently I was misinformed. Then I thought, "I'll make a mint! This is worth more than all my Toy Story residuals combined!" Apparently I am seldom informed of anything. And possibly a little slow. But seriously, are vampires even popular any more?

Faith doesn't trust this development either.

Any thoughts about the De-Jossing™ of the Buffster?
