There might be a few more smiles on these faces this afternoon after the Timbers take on lowly Toronto FC.

I'm not exactly sure what the exchange rate is these days, but for the Timbers, a victory north of the border today would be nothing short of priceless. The team's second match — which kicks off at 11 a.m. today and will be televised on ROOT Sports (Fox Sports NW, cable Ch. 34) — is a great opportunity for Portland to get a win under its belt.

Toronto FC — to hip for a mascot, eh? — got kicked around by expansion club Vancouver last week, and Portland would love to pull the same trick today to pick up some momentum prior to its U.S. Open play-in game Tuesday against Chivas USA at Portland's Merlo Field.
