Movieline just posted a three-minute video clip of Arnold Schwartzenegger's Stan-Lee-produced cartoon, The Governator. It's like the Mr.T cartoon mixed with M.A.S.K. Only suckier:

Who is this for? It's clearly not for kids (young cartoon-watchers never like adorable kid sidekicks), it's not for adults, and I'm not sure they even show these kinds of cartoons on TV anymore. This whole project seems poised to dominate 1986's pop culture landscape*. Is The Governator some sort of a huge tax write-off? What am I missing?

* The new Thundercats trailer makes slightly more sense; at least it appeals to nostalgic fans of the original Thundercats cartoon. (Although they'd better get Panthro in there somehow; his absence from the trailer upsets me way more than it probably should. He was always my favorite.)
