As always, tailing First Thursday comes the First Friday art walk on the Eastside. It's easy to forget, but with highlights like ADX’s grand opening, the inauguration of Half/Dozen’s new space, snowcones (edible, not painted), and solid photo collections, you don't wanna miss out!

After only a couple years, Half/Dozen has left their Everett Station Loft location and relocated to the east side. Judging by their great conceptual shows last year, their new space is sure to keep bringing the hits. They open with two group shows, titled Keep ‘Em Coming and Leave Your Door Open. 722 E Burnside, basement, 6-9 pm

The Golden Rule, the gallery turned vintage shop, teams up with Project Grow to inaugurate their official one-year anniversary; the show Snowcones features Tess Bildelspach and Viola Brown. Live models in the stylings of Bidelspach’s Designs. Plus collaborative textile sculptures, AND snowcones served all month. 811 E Burnside, Suite 122, 7-10 pm

ADX has finally got their gears rolling; they’ll launch their gallery/school, featuring their exhibit Process + Prototype, a parade float from Hand Eye Supply. “Our opening party serves to welcome the creative community into ADX, a place where anyone with the maker spirit can learn new skills, network, access a myriad of tools and resources, and bring their ideas into reality.” 417 SE 11th, 6-11 pm

Newspace debuts its show Only Photographs, curated by the awesomely talented (and local) Jake Stangel, the work harnesses the decisive moment” dictum; these are polished photos, mostly in color. The collection offers "insight into 14 sets of life stages and unique environmental visions, encapsulated and unified by the force of photography, a medium that enables both the photographer and viewer to investigate and celebrate these suspended moments in time together.” 1632 SE 10th, 6-9 pm

Another great photo collection is the one at the Nationale; We Have Begun Our Final Descent takes all of the recent, apocalyptic hubbub to heart. It's curated by Delaney Allen and features up-and-comers Debbie Carlos, Jeff Luker, and Keith Davis Young, whose foreboding photos appear reproduced on newsprint. The show is up for one week only, June 1-9, so catch it while you can. 811 E Burnside, Suite 112, 6-9 pm
