Eff comic books. The San Diego Comic Con is all about new Capcom videogames

Specifically, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, a newly-announced, updated version of this year's raddest fighter cum epileptic seizure catalyst Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

To quote myself:

The new game features a host of balance tweaks and alterations to its predecessor's gameplay options, but most importantly, it also features twelve new combatants.

Representing the Capcom side, we have Strider Hiryu, Firebrand, Vergil, Frank West, Phoenix Wright, and Nemesis.

On the Marvel side, the game boasts Ghost Rider, Nova, Dr. Strange, Hawkeye, Iron Fist and Rocket Raccoon.

Taken alongside the original game's 38 fighters, this brings the total Marvel Vs Capcom 3 roster to a nice, round 50 characters.

Capcom claims the game will be "mid-priced" when it sees release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sometime this November. It's theoretically possible that Capcom could be planning to release the extra content as a DLC pack for Marvel Vs Capcom 3 in addition to the standard boxed retail version — much as it did with the recent Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition — though the company has yet to hint at such.

You can find a ton of screenshots at The Escapist, or you can visit the official Capcom Unity YouTube page for a handful of videos.

I've included two gameplay clips past the jump, though unfortunately neither feature Rocket Raccoon. Sorry.

UPDATE: Shoryuken.com has a few images of upcoming DLC costumes and pre-order bonuses for Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Punk Storm? Elvis M.O.D.O.K.? Cyber Akuma? Hell to the yes!
