This weekend's Vida Vegan Con is the first-ever conference dedicated specifically toward vegan bloggers, and while spending your weekend in nutrition panels and debating the ethics of product reviews may not be on the agenda, if I know our readers then partying certainly is. On Saturday evening all the vegan bloggers will put down their pencils and curl their hair for the Galarama, a dress-up night of eating (admission includes bites from vegan-friendly firms like Sizzle Pie and Daiya), drinking, and bidding on a slew of items in a silent auction benefiting Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. They'll also have performances by Leigh Chantelle Koch, "awkwardly charming vegan straight-edge queer alternative piano pop music” by Stephan Nance, DJs Vitamin G and The Jet Boat Adventurer, and more.

While Con attendees get in with their conference passes, party-only tickets cost $25 ($30 at the door), but they kicked us down a couple to give to Blogtownies. I even heard a rumor that it would be okay for non-vegans to come, if they want, too. Dunno, though. Just a rumor. Want 'em? Send me your favorite vegan joke by 5 pm tomorrow, and the one who most makes me choke on my DC Vegetarian burger will walk with 'em.
