I know "man-child" is a pretty popular term (it gets shouted at me a lot), but what's the female equivalent? "Lady-child" sounds too dignified, "manic pixie dream girl" implies too much Zooey Deschanel-ness.... I guess maybe repurposing this film's title—"young adult"—might serve as an accurate enough, gender-neutral term? It seems fitting, even though it's a phrase that's usually used by librarians to refer to 14-year-old dweebs who hang out in libraries.

I'm curious about this thing. I was really impressed by Jason Reitman's last film (Up in the Air). I genuinely want to like the writing of Diablo Cody (Juno) more than I genuinely do. And I can't decide if I'm happy or annoyed that Charlize Theron seems to be playing an infantile character who appears to be originally written for Seth Rogen. Also, hey, it's Patton Oswalt! And isn't there some Hollywood statute that forbids people from using a song in a trailer once Wes Anderson's already called it?

Look, I don't know. This could be entertaining or super annoying. Maybe both. I'd be curious to hear what you guys think.
