A couple notable re-openings...

Over the weekend, the Alberta location of Barista—which was severely damaged in a Fourth of July fire—celebrated its restored digs with help from Koi Fusion and Saraveza. Normal business hours resumed this morning (Weekdays from 6am to 6pm, Saturday & Sunday from 7am to 6pm. 1725 NE Alberta).

After shuttering his strange Goose Hollow shop in March, and leaving a hole in my heart that can only be filled with Japanese style curry, owner Makoto Yashimoto has opened a new iteration of Kalé downtown (in the former home of Bush Garden at 900 SW Morrison St.). Eater has photos of the new space. Count on me to be there the next cold, rainy, comfort-food-appropriate afternoon.
