The Regional Arts and Culture Council has announced that it's currently seeking new acquisitions for its "Visual Chronicle of Portland"—"a collection of original works on paper that portray artists’ perceptions of what makes the City of Portland unique." Currently 280 works strong, the collection rotates through various city and county buildings to insure it's available for public consumption, and they emphasize it containing a diversity in points of view, not just pretty postcard shots. They've got $10k to throw at new pieces for it, so if you are and illustrator/painter/photographer/etc, and you have work that's Portland-centric, give it a whirl. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 11. Click here for submission details.
