You know those little things (toys, Bric-a-brac, curios, and such) you have on your window sill at home or next to your computer at work? I bet they all have little stories behind them. Maybe you should take one of those little things down to The Trading Tortoise this Sat July 28th at Grass Hut between 3-6 pm and exchange it for something with an equally interesting story.
The Trading Tortoise is a traveling art project created by Souther Salazar & Monica Choy "with the goal of creating a unique community experience while exploring America through objects and stories".
At each stop, they set up The Trading Tortoise and invite people to bring an object, story or creation and exchange it for something else special they’ve found or traded for along the way.
Pictures are worth more then these words, so look at the pictures of things that have been traded after the jump.
You can read all the back stories of these trades and more here >>
You might also remember this awesome cover Souther Salazar (one half of the Tortoise) did for the Mercury.
