I always considered it one of rock's cruelest twists that one of its best songwriters, Ian Hunter, didn't write his own biggest hit. (That would be Mott the Hoople's "All the Young Dudes," which David Bowie wrote.) But make no mistake: Ian Hunter is one of the all-time greats, and he's coming to Portland. You should probably be freaking out.
