Here is Typhoon's new studio recording of "Common Sentiments," a song that they've been playing for a while but is now the A-side of their upcoming 7-inch. It's also the teaser track from their White Lighter album, which was recorded at Pendarvis Farm (the site of Pickathon) and is due out next year. The 7-inch, due out October 30, is available for pre-order exclusively at Tender Loving Empire, and you can hear "Common Sentiments" below (it's also streaming on Typhoon's site). It is a phenomenal track—the band is working on an even bigger canvas than before, and the song is irrefutable evidence of Typhoon's ability to create something that's big enough to fill it. There's more about the song over on MTV.

Typhoon kicks off a West Coast tour next month with fellow hometown faves Laura Gibson and Lost Lander, and they all will play a homecoming show at the Crystal Ballroom on the day after Thanksgiving, Thursday November 23. Don't overdo it with the yams, because that's going to be a good one.
