There's been a short trailer for Mr. Gnome's video for "House of Circles" online for nine months, and yesterday we finally got the whole thing. It is a stunner, echoing a comic-book visual style but offering something altogether new. What's truly astonishing is that the Cleveland duo made this video entirely themselves for a budget of less than $2,000.

I don't know how they did it. Always with a keen visual sense in their album artwork—this video is an extension of the artwork seen on their last album, Madness in Miniature—here Mr. Gnome is showing they're capable of things far beyond that. It took them months and months to make this eight-minute clip (they wanted to make a feature film, but had to scale back, understandably), but the result was worth it. More about the video over on NPR.
