Tonight! Tomorrow! Two great comics-y things are happening in town, and you should go to both of them. I HAVE DECREED IT.

Tonight! Top Shelf Publisher Brett Warnock will be at Bridge City Comics (3725 N Mississippi) for the Top Shelf Stocking Stuffer Sale—not only will Bridge City have a ton of cheap Top Shelf books on hand (including "numerous offerings at $3, $5 and $10"), but Warnock will be available to personally advise you on exactly which Top Shelf books would be best for mom, dad, that brother you don't like very much, and YOU. Plus, Bridge City owner Michael Ring promises "Water, soda, beer and music will be provided!" Sweet! Hear that? Water! It all starts at 6 tonight and goes until 9; more info here.

(Full disclosure: Bridge City Comics is a sponsor of Comics Underground, the quarterly comics event Alison and I put on.)

Tomorrow! Hellboy creator Mike Mignola will be at Things from Another World (2916 NE Broadway) from 7 to 10 pm—Mignola will be signing stuff, and his stunning original art will be on display. Hellboy's been one of my favorite books since I started reading comics as a teenager, and Mignola one of my very favorite artists—and Hellboy's only been improving with age, with the saga consistently getting bigger and better. The whole Things from Another World thing is to promote the latest Hellboy arc, Hellboy in Hell. Plus, there'll be free food and beer at this thing, too! So... score. More info here.
