Tomorrow night, the NW Film Center's annual Top Down: Rooftop Cinema series kicks off with Jaques Tati's 1949 comedy Jour de FĂȘte.

The whole series—which also includes Zelig, The Hunger, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, and more—happens on the roof of the Hotel deLuxe's parking structure (SW 15th and Yamhill); each screening is preceded by live music (in Jour de FĂȘte's case, Lincoln's Beard), and it's generally an excellent time, provided you get there early enough to get a good seat (like, really early enough, as the roof isn't nearly big enough to hold the the number of people who show up).
For Jour de FĂȘte, the music starts at 8 pm tomorrow (Thurs, July 25); if you want to win a pair of tickets to the event, email me no later than 2 pm today (Wed, July 24). Make sure your subject line is "Jerry Lewis," and feel free to include either a joke or a dismissive reference about the French. I'll pick a winner at 2 and alert them via email. Have at!
