This Thursday night, the NW Film Center's Top Down: Rooftop Cinema series continues on the roof of the Hotel deLuxe's parking structure (SW 15th and Yamhill). This Thursday, the films playing are Dancing Outlaw and Dancing Outlaw II: Jesco Goes to Hollywood, two 1991 made-for-TV docs that the Film Center calls "hilarious and slightly exploitative." ("Slightly" might not quite cover it; Jesco's family would go on to get their own Johnny Knoxville-produced documentary, 2009's The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia.) This is Jesco.

Want to watch Dancing Outlaw and Dancing Outlaw II on a roof downtown on Thursday night? Good, because I've got a pair of tickets to give away. Email me no later than 2 pm today, and make sure your subject line is "hicksploitation." I'll pick a winner at 2 and email them back! If you're going, whether you win or not, you'll want to want to get there really early—the roof of the Hotel deLuxe is way too small to hold all the people who show up for these screenings. The band Barry Brusseau starts playing at 8, and the movie starts whenever it's dark enough.
