The Soul'd Out Festival has finalized the second portion of its lineup, announcing the bulk of artists who will be performing at this year's festival, which takes place at various venues around town on April 13-17. The diverse roster includes Sharon Jones, Bonnie Raitt, George Clinton and P-Funk, SZA, Thundercat, Bunny Wailer, Trombone Shorty, and many more. Some of these shows had been announced previously while others are new.

Over the festival's seven years, Soul'd Out has grown to encompass many types of music beyond the strict "soul" designation. As this morning's press release states:

Once again, diversity in programming is on full display. The concept of Soul'd Out Festival is to bring together various styles and genres under the banner of Soul Music—-because, in the end, whatever type of music you truly connect with is indeed your own form of "Soul Music."

With this in mind, the festival once again brings together both legendary and buzz-worthy artists from the worlds of Blues, Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Electronic and more. Always a highlight of the fest are the unique and memorable sit-ins and jam sessions that come from pulling together all of these world-class musicians in Portland for an unrivaled week of music and cultural celebration, and this coming year will be no exception to that rule.

More acts will be added to the festival in the coming weeks. All-access festival passes for $225 are currently on sale at the Soul'd Out site and individual tickets for the newly announced shows will go on sale Friday at 10 am (with a presale at 10 am tomorrow—Wednesday—with password: SOUL).
