Might want to update this a bit, "McCrae's Motel" isn't a motel at all its been converted into apartments a long time ago...but we never took the sign down (And the crazy people with the black PUPPY *it was a black puppy dog!* are long gone)....LOL
oh and theres no more dollar store, boots and spurs is closed down, And that wooden statue? Thats actually just a logger with a chain saw....look around Estacada...see the old guys there...now look at that statue again.

Estacada and her environs are one of Oregon's best kept secrets. The people are warm and friendly, the countryside is beautiful and you can enjoy peace, quiet and privacy here like nowhere else. Estacada is an awesome place. Take a drive around here sometime.

I came across this article on a random google search and have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. I LIVE here, and this shit is STILL funny to me! And all so true, if not out of date. By the way, my son and his buddies ran into the sword guy one night, he really exists, and he IS a scary looking guy. Just reminds me how quirky our little town is. Now, you should all come down during a football game, our Summer Celebration, 4th of July, or while our homes and businesses are FLOODING. Then you will see how all of our 'weirdo' citizens become a well oiled machine and come together as a community. We may be odd, but we're one big family out here. And I'm proud to be part of it, weirdos and all..... P.S. keep your bodies in your own towns, litterbugs!
