A Bill Before the Oregon Legislative Assembly Could Make That Happen

Looking at the City's weekly map of reported homeless camps brings to mind that George Carlin bit about rats and squealers. As he called it, "lower than a snake's ballbag" was an accurate description for citizens reporting on others in their community. Considering the intensity of vocal hatred, suspicion, and disgust that some Portlanders direct towards our homeless residents this not an altogether unjustified assessment. Defecating on a sidewalk vs informing on your neighbors, who really has authority to say what's worse? All I know for sure is that both stink.

ET82 - Are we also not supposed to report it when our kids' bikes are stolen so some junkie can break them down for scrap parts to sell for his next fix? Let me know what you think from way up on that high horse of yours.

"Defecating on a sidewalk vs informing on your neighbors..."
Which is worse? Uh... probably the defectating. WOW.

So you think people who trespass onto public property, or just set up their camps out in the open, are "neighbors" to the people who actually live in neighborhoods?

From human waste, stripped bike frames, garbage piled up, theft, intimidation, used needles strewn about and open drug dealing/using...this is all just fine and dandy with you? People just need to accept it and move along?

Your worldview is quite twisted.
