Does anyone know the legal skinny on ESA (emotional support animals) or Companion Pet laws? My dog is a certified ESA through my therapist for 9 yrs. I'm moving for the first time in awhile and the apartment complex I've applied to was super excited about me; I make enough money, I can move in when they need me to, blah blah blah - but the second I mentioned my ESA, the manager said it'd be hard to accommodate me. Umm, what?!?! I thought that was illegal. My dog is 25lbs, 14yrs old and has been with me since I was 16. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
