When driving home from work tonight, I noticed a large group of people standing at the Delta Park MAX station waiting for a bus into Vancouver around 12:30am. I was fairly certain that the bus system, especially on a holiday, doesn't run too late. Out of curiosity I checked the bus schedule when I got home. The next bus doesn't depart Delta Park until 6:53am.

I can understand not scheduling your life around a public transit system's schedule if you live in NYC or some other major metropolitan area that has a 24-HR public transit system, but what I don't get are people who don't plan ahead when the system routinely shuts down around midnight.

I hope everyone got home safe, because waiting 6 hours for the next bus doesn't sound like a great way to end the Fourth of July.
