The minute I saw Pooh talking about building around Brandon Roy, I stopped taking him seriously because it's clear he has no idea what the fuck he's talking about. Roy is done, barring the miracle "meniscus transplant" or whatever surgery he's contemplating. Even then, we'd be fooling ourselves as Blazer fans to keep putting our hopes on the guy. It's sad, it's awful, but it's something we've been dealing with for over a season and a half now. Even when he came back from injury last year he didn't look great; when he rushed back to try to make noise in the playoffs he was worse and this season he was a corpse.

I like the team building around Wesley Matthews, LaMarcus Aldridge and possible Nic Batum. They're more fun to watch, win games, and scrap it up with good teams. Until we get a legitimate star at guard to complement LMA's strong play, we'll be sort of spinning tires like the Hawks or Mavs of previous years.
