* Win/Lose/Draw
It's a rare occurrence when the problems of middle-aged women are brought to life with as much humor and poignancy as they are in Chocolate Cake -- the third installment in this evening of three one-acts. The first two plays, which follow two mothers at their daughters' beauty pageant and a social worker trying to deal with a deranged client, range from chuckle-inducing to downright dull. But Cake's story of two misguided bulemics stranded together in a hotel room in Massachusetts puts them both to shame, and makes the evening well worth its price of admission. Magdelyn Theatre Company, 7600 N Hereford, 708-8554, Thurs-Sat 8 pm, Sun 2 pm, through June 23, $12-14
